welcome to my dark and twisted mind. November 1st is a reader-insert fanfiction of the non-canon Walten Files halloween special, "The Mysterious House." as u may guess from the title, the fic takes place (or rly starts i guess) the day after halloween...november 1 . lol
Nov 1 started as a hobby project that i would work on to polish my writing skills, pretty noncommitally. the plot sees YOU (yes. you) waking up in the Pumpkin Rabbit's house of horror after halloween night and attempting to work through your own amnesia to figure out why you're there, what happened, and how you can escape...all while the rabbit lurks around every corner, trying to integrate you into its silly little house family via extremely dubious methods.
ik my writing and art as a whole is no stranger to yk unsettling, macabre or adult themes. however this is one work that i recommend taking extra care if you want to read. not only does it obviously contain themes of violence, but also features scenes and plot points pertaining to kidnapping, abuse, psychological torture & manipulation, weight fluctuation, and later on might elude to sexual themes. IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO ANY OF THESE TOPICS OR ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 THEN I DON'T RECOMMEND READING THIS ONE. ik we all get silly haha yes so funny its the walten files its the giant orange bunny i get it. but take care and heed these warnings because this one gets fucking weird at points. that is all

"updated" drawing of oscar (it's probably even older now than the "old" drawing was when i made this one). i think it's really funny that people who hadn't even seen my drawings of him could gather what his design looked like just from the story's descriptions of him. i guess that means im a good writer or something huh. anyway he's a bad person and you shouldn't feel bad for him. he probably killed his wife or something

let me bust out my infodump doc for this one, it's gonna take a little explainig.
ok so i actually looked at that doc again and it's fucking incomprehensible so i'll start from the beginning. from a single dream started a sort of .... AU for november 1 that could act as its sort of more original counterpart?
said AU story would revolve around two characters, respectively nicknamed Rat and Crow. Rat is a young person named Monday, whose design has basically become my default/placeholder interpretation of Y/N in nov 1. Crow is, you guessed it, the man Oscar himself except he's...well he's still very much a freak but in a bit of a different way. this au is very much genre swapped, taking place in a sort of sci-fi fantasy desert city environment where certain groups or people live in hidden underground burrows, or high-up residencies called hatches.
Monday, aka "Rat" (any, mostly they)
Oscar, aka "Crow" (he/him)
the worsties as kids, when their respective hashtag sad arcane backstories happened
as much as the circumstances change these two's story (notably i dont think oscar is going to hold rat in a house for months and make them interact with his scary quirky robots and eat candy) they play similar roles, just with like...more characters and external conflict included. Rat is this scampering thief with no home and no family who ends up getting wrapped up in a scheme involving some kind of valuable gem that Crow wants to get his hands on. therefore he makes it his personal mission to fucking GET THEM. Crow on the other hand is this like...notorious entity who strikes fear into everyone's hearts because he's unpredictable, has wrecked powerful people and nobody really knows what he wants. not even me! i barely thought about this story i just decided i needed to design characters based on a crazy dream i had.
